Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
• Monitor and report changes in resident condition to the nursing team
• Support safe transfers, mobility, and proper use of assistive devices
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate clearly with interdisciplinary staff
• Assist with meal and medication routines as directed by licensed staff
• Foster a respectful, dignified environment that promotes resident independence and comfort

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential in good standing
• T-CNA certification listed as a recognized credential for this role
• Recent experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility preferred
• Current basic life support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain
• Ability to pass required facility background checks and health screenings
• Comfortable working 12-hour night shifts and collaborating with a team

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Current CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of resident care principles and infection control practices
• Skilled in safe patient handling and mobility assistance
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with residents and families
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Basic charting and documentation skills
• Compassionate bedside manner with attention to resident dignity and safety
