Location: Belen, NM

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per Diem (schedule varies), 5:00 PM - 5:30 AM NOC

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, toileting, and mobility
Monitor and record vital signs accurately and report changes to the nursing team
Provide compassionate, patient-centered care that preserves dignity and comfort
Support feeding and hydration needs, including safe transfers and positioning
Maintain clear, timely documentation in residents' records and communicate with the care team
Adhere to infection control practices and facility policies to keep everyone safe

Qualifications

Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential in good standing
Completion of an approved CNA training program
Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
Ability to pass background checks, drug screening, and required immunizations
Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
Prior long-term care or skilled nursing experience is a plus but enthusiastic new CNAs are welcome

Education

High school diploma or GED
Completion of an approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

Practical knowledge of ADLs and resident hygiene needs
Ability to take and accurately chart vital signs
Familiarity with infection prevention and safety protocols
Good time management and ability to prioritize tasks during busy shifts
Compassionate bedside manner and strong interpersonal skills
Basic charting and documentation skills
