Location: Belen, New Mexico

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem schedule (days vary), 5:00 PM - 5:30 AM Night

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents with dignity and respect
Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility
Monitor and record vital signs and report any changes to nursing staff promptly
Support mealtime assistance and safe feeding practices
Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents
Document care accurately and timely in the facility record system
Communicate effectively with residents, families, and the interdisciplinary care team

Qualifications

Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (New Mexico) or eligibility to obtain
Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
Comfortable assisting with ADLs and basic resident care
Strong communication and teamwork skills with a resident-first mindset
Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings

Education

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Current CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of infection control and proper hand hygiene
Familiarity with safe resident transfer and safe handling techniques
Basic vital signs measurement and documentation
Understanding of resident rights, privacy, and HIPAA considerations
Ability to follow care plans and report changes in condition
