Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hands-on personal care and assistance with activities of daily living
• Assist residents with mobility, transfers, and safe ambulation
• Take and record vital signs, documenting changes and reporting concerns promptly
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation of care and resident status
• Follow infection control practices and maintain a safe, clean environment
• Support the nursing team by communicating resident needs and participating in care planning
• Promote resident dignity, independence, and emotional well-being through respectful interactions
• Participate in orientation and ongoing training to keep skills sharp and current

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (required)
• Active or eligible for CNA certification in New Mexico
• Previous experience in long-term care or similar setting is a plus
• Comfortable with night-shift routines and dependable attendance
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with a multidisciplinary team
• Background check and any facility-required health screenings/clearances

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Completed CNA training program and active certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic nursing care and resident safety practices
• Ability to take and record vital signs accurately
• Skill in safe transfer and mobility assistance techniques
• Familiarity with infection prevention and personal protective equipment use
• Basic documentation and charting skills
• Compassionate bedside manner and strong interpersonal skills
