Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living — bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility
• Provide compassionate bedside care and maintain patient dignity at all times
• Monitor and record vital signs and report changes to the nursing team promptly
• Support safe transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics and equipment
• Help with feeding and nutrition needs according to care plans
• Keep accurate documentation and communicate effectively with the care team
• Follow infection control practices and maintain a clean, safe environment
• Participate in patient-centered care activities that improve comfort and outcomes

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (New Mexico) — required
• CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
• Ability to pass background check and required health screenings/immunizations
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
• Dependable, compassionate, and comfortable working evening/night shifts
• Previous experience as a CNA is a plus but enthusiastic new CNAs are welcome

Education

• High school diploma or GED
• Completion of a state-approved CNA training program and current CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Basic patient care and ADL assistance
• Vital signs measurement and observation skills
• Safe patient handling and transfer techniques
• Infection prevention and standard precautions
• Clear documentation and handoff communication
• Time management and ability to prioritize patient needs
• Compassionate bedside manner and cultural sensitivity
