Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hands-on care to residents, helping with bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility
• Assist with feeding and meal support while respecting resident preferences and dignity
• Perform routine resident observations and report changes promptly to nursing staff
• Support a safe, clean environment by following infection control and safety procedures
• Document care activities accurately and communicate effectively with the care team
• Help residents maintain independence and a high quality of life through encouraging activities

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification — ready to work in New Mexico
• Previous experience in long-term care or skilled nursing is a plus but not required
• Comfortable with night shift duties and providing direct patient care
• Willingness to complete facility onboarding requirements (background check, immunizations, orientation)
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient-first attitude

Education

• Completion of an approved CNA training program and high school diploma or GED preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on resident care and activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Basic vital sign observation and reporting
• Infection prevention and safe handling techniques
• Accurate documentation and following care plans
• Teamwork, time management, and strong interpersonal skills
• Respect for resident dignity, privacy, and preferences
