Roles & Responsibilities

• Master the art of decontaminating, disinfecting, sterilizing, and packaging instruments and equipment to keep surgeries safe and smooth
• Perform precise autoclaving and multi-step reprocessing following top SEARHC policies and AAMI guidelines
• Maintain meticulous sterilization records, biological monitoring, and quality checks to ensure every tool is ready
• Troubleshoot instrument shortages by communicating effectively with providers and offering smart alternatives
• Verify equipment performance, handle maintenance requests, and keep defective gear out of commission
• Assist in training team members and tackle supply duties like ordering and inventory for seamless operations

Qualifications

• Certification in Sterile Processing and/or Technology through CBSPD or HSPA
• Current BLS certification
• High school diploma or GED
• One year of healthcare experience preferred

Education

• High school diploma or GED

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of infection control, surgical instrumentation care, sterile techniques, and inventory management
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Task and detail oriented with self-motivation and project ownership
• Advanced hand-eye coordination, solid organizational skills, and computer proficiency
