Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 36 hours/week, weekend requirement of 4 shifts per month at unit discretion

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver expert care to trauma patients in a Level 1 environment, making a real difference in high-stakes situations
Manage 1:4 ratios in a bustling ED seeing 250-300 patients daily
Collaborate with charge RNs, PCTs, hospitalists, and RTs for seamless team care
Handle common cases like trauma, burns, and psych holds with confidence
Float within ER facilities to keep skills sharp and experiences varied

Qualifications

Active RN license
BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications required (ENPC not accepted in place of PALS)
Preferred TNCC and ATCN certifications
At least 2 years ER experience including 6 months in Trauma Level 1
Competence in sterile field procedures like Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes

Education

RN licensure with relevant ER/Trauma experience

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency with Cerner EMR
Ability to read Phillips tele strips
Sterile technique mastery to ace SIMs Lab on day 1
Experience with high-volume ED including trauma bays and psych holds
