Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver full-time physical therapy to diverse clients from pediatric to geriatric across orthopedics, neurology, vestibular, and wound care
• Provide inpatient, outpatient, home care, and community outreach services in a hospital-based outpatient clinic
• Travel to villages to extend care to remote Alaskan Native communities
• Adhere to Physical Therapy standards, JCAHO, OSHA, and corporate policies while applying age-specific and culturally sensitive care
• Collaborate effectively with physicians, medical staff, and multidisciplinary teams
• Utilize therapeutic equipment like hi-lo tables, whirlpool, ultrasound, and electric stimulation to optimize patient outcomes

Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist in good standing in Alaska
• CPR certification
• Master's degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program
• Hospital-based experience preferred

Education

• Master's degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional journals, technical procedures, and regulations
• Effective written and verbal communication with physicians, staff, clients, and culturally diverse populations including non-English speakers
• Mathematical proficiency in rates, ratios, percentages, and graphing
• Problem-solving skills for practical issues with limited standardization
• Equipment handling in hospital and village settings including TheraBand, ultrasound, and therapeutic modalities
