Roles & Responsibilities

Independently plan and implement engaging activities tailored to residents' unique needs and abilities
Assess residents' interests through observation and conversations to create meaningful experiences
Support community reintegration by leading fun excursions to malls, theaters, and picnics
Provide personalized one-on-one engagement to brighten residents' days
Coordinate logistics seamlessly with staff to ensure smooth activity execution
Assist with patient care tasks like grooming and toileting to promote dignity and comfort

Qualifications

CNA certification required
Active BLS certification required
Minimum 2 years of Recreational Aide experience in long term care
Experience with MDS essential

Education

Knowledge & Skills

Strong grasp of recreational treatment plans and leisure activities
Knowledge of human growth and development
Effective communication with residents, families, and staff
Ability to independently execute therapeutic activities
Familiarity with hospital policies and procedures
