Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver expert radiographic examinations of all body parts for accurate diagnostic interpretation
Apply professional judgment in procedures while upholding radiation protection principles
Perform diagnostic medical radiography across departments and maintain meticulous patient records
Lead departmental quality assurance efforts and pursue ongoing continuing education
Transfer patients safely and assist with general department hygiene
Take on-call duties with quick 20-minute response times and rotate shifts as needed
Master CT and interventional procedures including venipuncture, sterile technique, and contrast management
Collaborate with physicians, manage equipment care, and adapt protocols for patients of all ages

Qualifications

Current ARRT in Radiography certification
Clinical competency within 3 months of hire and every three years
Experience performing all diagnostic exams in assigned modality
Ability to work with patients across all age groups from newborn to geriatric
Willingness to take call, report within 20 minutes, and learn additional imaging modalities

Education

ARRT in Radiography required; additional ARRT certifications in CT, MR, MG, NM or ARDMS for advanced levels

Knowledge & Skills

Radiographic examination and radiation protection expertise
Patient records management and quality assurance
Continuing education commitment
CT and interventional skills including venipuncture and sterile technique
Tele-radiology transmission and automatic injector operation
Adapting protocols for pediatric, adolescent, and geriatric patients
