Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate care to patients with heart failure, Afib, respiratory distress, and stroke in a fast-paced 22-bed Stepdown unit
• Titrate critical drips like Cardizem, amiodarone, and nitro to stabilize patients
• Read and interpret tele strips independently while collaborating with charge nurses and techs
• Manage 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratios with teamwork and a positive attitude
• Handle frequent admits and discharges while floating to ICU when your expertise shines
• Troubleshoot CPAP equipment and support nurse aides to provide top-notch patient care

Qualifications

• Active RN license with at least 2 years of experience
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Valid driver's license to confirm 50-mile radius rule
• No current or recent employment with CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facilities
• Ready to ace a pass/fail open-book exam during orientation

Education

• RN licensure; BSN preferred but not required

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in Stepdown/PCU patient care
• Proficiency titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips
• Skill in reading tele strips and managing CPAP
• Strong teamwork, positive attitude, and patient-focused mindset
• EPIC charting system experience a plus
