Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and manage dysphagia through thorough clinical swallow evaluations
• Perform and interpret instrumental swallowing assessments such as MBSS/VFSS
• Develop individualized treatment plans and document progress clearly and promptly
• Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, dietitians and rehab colleagues to optimize patient outcomes
• Educate patients, families and caregivers on safe swallowing strategies and home programs
• Participate in weekend coverage as scheduled and support continuity of care

Qualifications

• CCC-SLP credential required
• Proven experience in dysphagia management with proficiency in clinical swallow evaluations
• Experience performing Modified Barium Swallow Study (MBSS) and/or Videofluoroscopic Swallow Study (VFSS)
• Comfortable with documentation and electronic medical records
• Strong communication and interdisciplinary teamwork skills
• Ability to work an 8-hour schedule, including some weekends as needed

Knowledge & Skills

• Deep knowledge of speech-language pathology practices related to adult dysphagia
• Skilled in clinical and instrumental swallowing assessments (MBSS/VFSS)
• Expertise in developing and implementing dysphagia treatment plans
• Patient and family education techniques for safe swallowing
• Collaborative care within acute and rehab settings
• Accurate clinical documentation and outcome tracking
