Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform and assist with cardiac cath lab procedures including left and right heart catheterizations, coronary angiograms and PCI/PTCA
• Support temporary and permanent pacemaker insertion and device programming when needed
• Participate in electrophysiology studies, cardiac mapping and ablation procedures
• Maintain sterile technique as scrub and serve as room circulator to ensure patient and team safety
• Place EKG leads and monitor cardiac rhythms throughout procedures
• Assist with specialized interventions such as TAVR, Watchman, Impella insertion and ASD closures when indicated
• Accurately document procedures and patient data in Epic
• Respond professionally to on-call assignments and float to nearby sites (may float to Providence Mission Laguna) as required

Qualifications

• California state license (active) required — pending licenses not accepted
• Fluoro permit / Fluoroscopy certification required
• BLS required; ACLS preferred
• Minimum 2 years of cath lab experience required (travel experience required)
• Community hospital cath lab experience required
• Electrophysiology (EP) experience strongly preferred
• First-time grads are not accepted for this role
• RTO documentation must be included at time of submission

Knowledge & Skills

• Cardiac catheterization techniques (left/right heart cath, PCI, PTCA, stent placement)
• Temporary and permanent pacemaker knowledge and device handling
• Electrophysiology procedures: mapping, ablation, arrhythmia induction and AICD programming
• Familiarity with TAVR, Watchman, Impella, ASD closure and thrombolysis/thrombectomy procedures
• Proficient EKG lead placement and rhythm interpretation
• Sterile scrub and room circulator skillset
• Charting proficiency in Epic
• Experience with Philips and Siemens C-arm imaging systems
