Shift Type: Night Shift, 12-hour shifts, days determined by scheduling

Candidate Pay Rate: $67 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Perform admissions, daily assessments, and discharges on an 11-bed adult behavioral health unit
Provide compassionate care to dual diagnosis and chemically dependent patients
Work confidently with forensic patients in a supportive environment
Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive mental health treatment
Utilize crisis intervention techniques to maintain a safe and therapeutic milieu

Qualifications

Current certification in management of assaultive patients (CPI or equivalent) required before start
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Minimum 2 years of experience in psychiatric or behavioral health nursing
Active Hawaii RN license or ability to obtain before start

Knowledge & Skills

Patient assessment and discharge planning
Forensic patient care and chemical dependency nursing
Crisis intervention and psychiatric nursing
Dual diagnosis competency
Proficient in Point Click EMR
