Licensed Practical Nurse – UHC Staffing

Licensed Practical Nurse

Location: Albuquerque, NM

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem night shift, 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM NOC

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $33 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care during night shifts
Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
Monitor patient status, document changes, and communicate concerns to the care team
Assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers as needed
Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary staff to implement care plans
Maintain accurate clinical documentation and follow facility policies
Support a safe environment by following infection control and safety protocols

Qualifications

Current LPN license in New Mexico (or eligible for state licensure)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS or PALS as applicable preferred
Current immunizations and ability to pass background and drug screening
Comfortable working independently during night shift with strong clinical judgment
Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset

Education

Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
Ongoing professional development encouraged

Knowledge & Skills

Solid assessment skills and ability to intervene appropriately in urgent situations
Medication administration and IV/standing order familiarity
Charting and electronic medical record experience
Time management, prioritization, and ability to multitask on busy shifts
Strong interpersonal skills for patient and family education and support
