Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, family-centered care to critically ill pediatric patients in the PICU
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, quickly recognizing and responding to changes
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments according to physician orders
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and adjust individualized care plans
• Educate and support families through challenging and complex medical situations
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with all clinical standards

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts or compact state
• Prior PICU or pediatric critical care experience preferred
• Current BLS and PALS certifications required
• Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Pediatric assessment and critical care expertise
• Ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring
• Safe medication administration and accurate dosage calculations
• Family-centered care principles and effective communication
• Electronic health record (EHR) proficiency
• Emergency response and resuscitation protocols
