Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the orthodontist during examinations and procedures
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and treatment rooms
• Take and process dental X-rays and impressions
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and orthodontic care
• Document treatment plans and maintain patient records
• Support a smooth patient flow throughout the office

Qualifications

• Active Dental Assistant certification or licensure in Maryland (or ability to obtain)
• Certification in dental radiography (X-ray)
• Experience as an orthodontic or dental assistant preferred
• CPR/BLS certification
• Strong attention to safety and infection control

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of orthodontic instruments and procedures
• Familiarity with dental software and charting systems
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Compassionate patient care approach
• Strong organizational skills
