Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, specialized care to critically ill pediatric patients in the PICU
• Monitor vital signs, assess patient conditions, and respond quickly to changes
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as ordered
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and adjust care plans
• Support and educate families during challenging times
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation of patient care
• Uphold the highest standards of safety and infection control

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts or a compact state
• Recent PICU or pediatric critical care experience preferred
• Current BLS and PALS certifications
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
• Ability to stay calm and act decisively in high-pressure situations
• Excellent communication skills with patients, families, and team members

Knowledge & Skills

• Pediatric critical care protocols and best practices
• Medication administration and pediatric dosage calculations
• Ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring
• Comprehensive patient assessment and care planning
• Electronic health records (EHR) documentation
• Family-centered care approaches
