Location: Boston, MA

Contract Type: Per-Diem
Shift Type: Per diem, 12-hour shifts; flexible scheduling based on facility needs
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, family-centered care to critically ill pediatric patients
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, adjusting care plans as needed
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and prescribed treatments safely
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and the care team
- Educate and support families during challenging times
- Document patient progress accurately and maintain continuity of care
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- PALS certification required
- Prior PICU or pediatric critical care experience preferred
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge & Skills
- Pediatric assessment and early warning sign recognition
- Ventilator and monitoring equipment familiarity
- Pediatric medication dosing and safe administration
- Family-centered communication and emotional support
- Electronic health record (EHR) documentation
- Calm and effective response in emergency situations
