Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, family-centered care to critically ill pediatric patients
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, adjusting care plans as needed
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and prescribed treatments safely
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and the care team
• Educate and support families during challenging times
• Document patient progress accurately and maintain continuity of care

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts
• Current BLS/CPR certification
• PALS certification required
• Prior PICU or pediatric critical care experience preferred
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts in a fast-paced environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Pediatric assessment and early warning sign recognition
• Ventilator and monitoring equipment familiarity
• Pediatric medication dosing and safe administration
• Family-centered communication and emotional support
• Electronic health record (EHR) documentation
• Calm and effective response in emergency situations
