Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to pediatric patients in the operating room
• Assist the surgical team during procedures, ensuring a safe and efficient environment
• Prepare and maintain the operating room with sterile supplies and equipment
• Monitor patient vitals and advocate for patient safety throughout the perioperative process
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver optimal outcomes
• Document patient care accurately and thoroughly in accordance with facility standards

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania
• BLS certification required
• PALS certification preferred
• Previous operating room nursing experience preferred
• Pediatric nursing experience is a plus
• Strong critical thinking and assessment skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of surgical aseptic technique and sterile field management
• Familiarity with surgical instruments and OR equipment
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to stay calm and focused in a fast-paced environment
• Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care
