Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert perioperative nursing care to pediatric patients across the surgical continuum
• Assist surgeons and surgical teams during operative procedures, ensuring a safe and sterile environment
• Monitor patients before, during, and after surgery, promptly responding to changes in condition
• Prepare and maintain surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies
• Collaborate with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and fellow nurses to deliver seamless patient care
• Support and educate patients and families, easing anxiety and promoting positive outcomes

Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• PALS certification required
• Prior operating room nursing experience strongly preferred
• Pediatric nursing experience is a plus
• Strong patient assessment and critical thinking skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid understanding of perioperative nursing standards and sterile technique
• Familiarity with surgical instruments, equipment, and OR protocols
• Ability to remain calm and focused in a fast-paced surgical environment
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
• Compassionate, family-centered approach to pediatric care
