Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, specialized nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients
• Monitor vital signs, assess patient conditions, and respond quickly to changes
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments as ordered
• Collaborate with physicians and the multidisciplinary care team to develop and adjust care plans
• Support and educate families during challenging times, offering comfort and clear communication
• Maintain accurate, thorough documentation of patient status and interventions

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Ohio (or compact state) required
• Current BLS certification required
• PALS certification strongly preferred
• Previous PICU, pediatric ICU, or critical care experience preferred
• Graduate from an accredited nursing program
• Compassionate, quick-thinking, and committed to high-quality pediatric care

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong pediatric critical care knowledge
• Excellent assessment and critical thinking skills
• Ability to stay calm and focused in high-pressure situations
• Effective communication with patients, families, and team members
• Proficiency with electronic health records and medical technology
• Flexibility to adapt to changing patient needs and unit demands
