Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver expert perioperative nursing care to pediatric patients in the Operating Room
• Prepare the OR suite and ensure a sterile environment for surgical procedures
• Assist surgeons and anesthesia providers during pediatric surgeries
• Monitor patients pre- and post-operatively, ensuring safe recovery
• Document surgical details accurately and maintain compliance with safety protocols
• Provide emotional support and education to patients and families

Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania or compact state eligibility
• Experience in Operating Room nursing, preferably in pediatrics
• Current BLS certification (PALS/CNOR preferred)
• Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced surgical environment
• Strong teamwork and communication skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of surgical instrumentation and sterile techniques
• Pediatric assessment and critical thinking skills
• Familiarity with perioperative nursing standards and safety protocols
• Effective communication with pediatric patients, families, and surgical teams
• Comfort with electronic health records and surgical documentation
