Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, family-centered care to critically ill pediatric patients in the PICU
• Assess, monitor, and manage patients with complex medical conditions, including ventilator support
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and emergency interventions as needed
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other specialists to optimize patient outcomes
• Educate and support families, keeping them informed and involved in their child's care
• Document care accurately and respond rapidly to changes in patient status

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Ohio or a compact state license
• PICU or pediatric critical care experience strongly preferred
• Current BLS and PALS certifications required
• Ability to work 12.5-hour shifts in a high-acuity environment
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Pediatric advanced life support and emergency response
• Ventilator management, hemodynamic monitoring, and medication titration
• Family-centered care and compassionate communication
• Electronic health record (EHR) charting and documentation
• Rapid assessment and prioritization in critical situations
