Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate perioperative nursing care to pediatric patients in the operating room
• Assist the surgical team during procedures, ensuring a safe and sterile environment
• Assess, monitor, and advocate for patients before, during, and after surgery
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with patients and families
• Adhere to infection control protocols and surgical safety standards

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania
• BLS certification required
• PALS certification preferred
• Experience in perioperative/OR nursing, especially with pediatric patients
• Ability to work flexible per diem shifts

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of surgical instruments and sterile technique
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
• Ability to remain calm and focused in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Compassionate approach to caring for children and their families
