Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, specialized nursing care to pediatric intensive care patients
• Monitor and assess patient status, including vital signs and respiratory function, and respond promptly to changes
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Administer medications and treatments accurately, ensuring safety and efficacy
• Support and educate families during challenging times, offering reassurance and guidance

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Massachusetts or a compact state required
• BLS and PALS certification required
• Minimum of 2 years of PICU nursing experience preferred
• Strong critical thinking and communication skills
• Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced pediatric environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Pediatric intensive care nursing expertise
• Proficiency with life support equipment and monitoring devices
• Patient and family education techniques
• Team collaboration and interdisciplinary communication
• Accurate documentation and use of electronic medical records
