Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist licensed physical therapists in delivering individualized treatment plans to help patients regain mobility and independence
• Provide hands-on therapeutic interventions and monitor patient responses to treatments
• Document patient progress, functional outcomes, and any changes in condition in a timely and professional manner
• Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, safety techniques, and fall prevention strategies
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care and optimize patient outcomes
• Maintain safe treatment areas and ensure equipment is clean, functional, and ready for use

Qualifications

• Current PTA license in California or eligibility to obtain state licensure
• Completion of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Comfortable providing hands-on patient care and lifting as required
• Excellent communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude
• Prior experience in rehab or outpatient settings is a plus

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
• Associate degree in Physical Therapist Assistant or equivalent

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in therapeutic exercise techniques and modalities commonly used in physical therapy
• Strong patient assessment and documentation skills
• Familiarity with common rehab diagnoses and functional outcome measures
• Comfortable using electronic medical records for charting and scheduling
• Ability to prioritize tasks, multitask during busy shifts, and maintain attention to detail
• Compassionate bedside manner and effective patient education skills
