Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiographic exams with care and precision to produce high-quality images
• Position patients safely and explain procedures clearly to ensure comfort and cooperation
• Operate X-ray equipment following established protocols and radiation safety standards
• Verify patient identity and maintain accurate documentation and imaging records
• Assist with inventory and ensure equipment and rooms are clean, stocked, and ready
• Participate in competency testing and specialty exams to maintain high standards of practice
• Follow infection control procedures and site-specific health requirements at all times

Qualifications

• Current BLS certification (required)
• DCI/BVP credential (listed as required)
• License or certificate verification as required by the facility (must be verifiable)
• Successful completion of Prime Core Competencies Exam, Prime Skills Checklist, and Prime Specialty Exam as part of the onboarding checklist
• Ability to pass required pre-employment screenings: drug screen (minimum 10-panel), color-blind test, TB testing (PPD/Chest X-Ray), and physical/health statement
• Up-to-date immunizations and health requirements including COVID-19 vaccine, MMR, Hepatitis B, Influenza vaccine, Varicella, and Tdap
• Fit testing for respirators as required

Knowledge & Skills

• Radiography and X-ray imaging techniques
• Patient positioning and safety for diagnostic exams
• Radiation safety principles and adherence to facility protocols
• Basic Life Support (BLS) knowledge for patient safety
• Comfort with competency exams and skills checklists
