Roles & Responsibilities

• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms on telemetry units, quickly identifying and responding to changes
• Assess, plan, and implement evidence-based nursing care for patients with cardiac conditions
• Administer medications and treatments safely, documenting patient responses accurately
• Collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes
• Provide compassionate education to patients and families about heart health and recovery
• Maintain meticulous electronic health records and ensure continuity of care

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Kansas (or compact license), verified through Nursys
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• NIHSS and DCI/BVP certifications required
• Successful completion of Prime Pharmacology Exam, Basic Rhythm Interpretation Screening, and Core Competencies Exam
• Ability to pass drug screening and meet all personal health history requirements (including COVID-19 vaccine, TB test, and physical)

• Strong expertise in cardiac rhythm interpretation and telemetry monitoring
• Excellent acute care assessment and critical thinking skills
• Proficient in electronic health records and precise documentation
• Calm, effective communication during high-pressure situations
