Roles & Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess critically ill stepdown patients, ensuring timely interventions
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, with a focus on patient safety
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and adjust care plans
• Provide education and support to patients and their families during recovery
• Document patient progress accurately and maintain detailed records
• Respond quickly to changes in patient condition and escalate as needed

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Kansas or compact state
• Current BLS certification (AHA)
• ACLS certification preferred
• Previous experience in stepdown, ICU, or critical care setting
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills

Knowledge & Skills

• In-depth knowledge of stepdown and telemetry nursing
• Proficiency in cardiac monitoring and rhythm interpretation
• Strong patient assessment and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
