Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients in the ICU
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, responding to changes promptly
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as ordered
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals
• Document patient progress and communicate effectively with families
• Participate in emergency response and life-saving procedures

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Kansas (or compact) with Nursys verification
• BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
• DCI/BVP certification (required)
• Previous ICU nursing experience strongly preferred
• Ability to pass a 10-panel drug screen and health requirements

Knowledge & Skills

• Critical thinking and quick decision-making
• In-depth knowledge of ICU equipment and monitoring
• Strong patient assessment and physical assessment skills
• Medication administration and IV therapy expertise
• Effective communication with patients, families, and teams
• Ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure situations
