Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high-quality patient care using the nursing process from assessment to evaluation
• Provide direct patient care within the scope of practice on the Med/Surg/Telemetry Unit
• Direct and guide patient and family teaching, empowering them with knowledge
• Collaborate with physicians, communicating changes in patient condition and cardiac monitoring results
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition or response to treatment
• Float to Med/Surg and Telemetry units to ensure continuous, quality care

Qualifications

• Current and valid California Registered Nurse license
• Current BLS certification (AHA or Red Cross)
• Current ACLS certification (AHA or Red Cross)
• Minimum of 1 year of acute care hospital experience
• Must be able to float to Med/Surg and Telemetry units
• NIHSS certification required
• Experience with Meditech EMR is preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid understanding of the nursing process
• Proficient in cardiac monitoring and telemetry
• Strong patient and family education skills
• Excellent communication with physicians and care team
• Ability to adapt and float between Med/Surg and Telemetry
• Skilled in using Meditech EMR
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certified
