Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform CT scans with precision, ensuring clear diagnostic images for physicians.
• Prepare and position patients, explaining the procedure to reduce anxiety and ensure cooperation.
• Administer contrast media as ordered, monitoring patients for any adverse reactions.
• Operate, calibrate, and maintain CT equipment to ensure safety and image quality.
• Collaborate with radiologists and nursing staff to provide exceptional patient care.
• Document patient history, scan protocols, and technical details accurately.

Qualifications

• Current BLS certification (AHA) required.
• DCI/BVP certification required.
• Valid state license or certification as a CT Technologist.
• Must pass Prime competency exams, skills checklist, and specialty exam.
• License/Certificate Verification required.
• Ability to complete health and immunization requirements, including drug screen and physical.

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong understanding of CT anatomy, positioning, and imaging protocols.
• Proficiency in radiation safety and ALARA principles.
• Skilled in using CT contrast agents and managing patient reactions.
• Excellent communication and patient interaction skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
