Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate speech therapy assessments and individualized treatment plans for patients across inpatient and outpatient settings
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes and support functional communication
• Monitor patient progress, adjust therapy plans, and document outcomes in a timely manner
• Educate patients and families on therapeutic techniques and home exercise programs
• Maintain compliance with clinical standards, infection control, and facility policies

Qualifications

• Active Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) license in Illinois
• Current BLS certification from AHA or equivalent
• DCI/BVP certification required
• Strong clinical skills in speech and language therapy, with inpatient and/or outpatient experience
• Traveler-friendly and adaptable to new environments
• Up to date on all required health screenings and immunizations (COVID-19, MMR, TB, Varicella, Tdap, Hepatitis B, and flu)

Knowledge & Skills

• Comprehensive knowledge of speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders
• Expertise in developing evidence-based treatment plans and interventions
• Proficient with documentation systems and medical terminology
• Excellent communication and patient-education skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Time management and adaptability in varying care settings
