Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of technical MRI procedures with limited supervision, ensuring high-quality images for accurate diagnosis
- Apply comprehensive MRI safety knowledge to protect patients, staff, and yourself from potential hazards
- Use independent judgment and initiative to adapt procedures to individual patient needs
- Collaborate with the Director of Radiology and Medical Director to maintain the department's consultative service standards
- Participate in quality control, quality assurance monitoring, and continuing education activities to enhance patient care
Qualifications
- Graduate of a formal AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology
- Previous experience in MRI within a hospital setting
- ARRT Registry certification and MRI Registry certification required
- CPR certification required
- Venipuncture certification required (or ability to obtain within 3 months of hire)
- At least 2 recent supervisory references
Education
- Formal AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong understanding of MRI safety protocols and procedures
- Proficient in radiologic technology and MRI imaging techniques
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision and exercise sound judgment
- Skill in venipuncture for contrast administration
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with radiology staff
