Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist surgeons during procedures, passing instruments and anticipating their needs
• Prepare and maintain a sterile field to ensure patient safety
• Sterilize and organize surgical instruments and equipment
• Set up operating rooms with needed supplies and positioning equipment
• Collaborate with the surgical team for efficient, high-quality patient care
• Handle specimens and participate in patient positioning and preparation

Qualifications

• Active BLS certification required
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
• Ability to pass a background check and physical health screening
• Strong attention to detail and ability to stay focused in a fast-paced environment
• Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of surgical instruments and sterilization methods
• Understanding of aseptic technique and infection control
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to adapt quickly to different surgical cases and settings
• Manual dexterity and precision
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
