Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare and organize the sterile field so every case starts smooth and safe
• Anticipate the needs of surgeons during open heart, orthopedic, and general surgical cases
• Pass instruments and supplies with precision and confidence
• Keep an accurate count of instruments, sponges, and supplies throughout each procedure
• Maintain a sterile environment and follow strict infection control standards
• Document care and case details in Epic with accuracy and ease
• Jump in for on-call coverage and support urgent surgical needs

Qualifications

• 2 years of Surgical Scrub Tech experience in a busy OR
• Current BLS certification
• DCI/BVP certification
• Hands-on Epic experience is a must
• Comfort with open heart and orthopedic surgical cases
• Willingness to participate in the on-call rotation
• License and certificate verification required

• BLS
• DCI/BVP

• Strong surgical scrub technique and sterile field management
• Solid understanding of OR workflows and instrumentation
• Familiarity with open heart and orthopedic procedures
• Epic charting proficiency
• Calm, quick thinking under pressure
• Great communication with surgeons, nurses, and the whole OR team
• Dependable and ready for on-call shifts
