Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care across multiple Med Surg units as a valued float pool nurse
• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions with accuracy and attention to detail
• Administer medications, treatments, and procedures with confidence and clinical expertise
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Float between units to provide consistent, high-quality nursing support where it is needed most
• Educate patients and families on health management, medications, and discharge planning
• Respond quickly to changes in patient condition and emergencies with a calm, skilled approach
• Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment for patients and staff

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Rhode Island or a compact state
• Current BLS certification
• Med Surg and/or Float Pool experience is preferred but not required
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Ability to adapt quickly to new units and diverse patient populations
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Willingness to work night shifts and a flexible schedule
• Completion of required health screenings and immunizations
