Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments to ensure a safe, welcoming environment for every patient
• Assist the orthodontist chairside during exams, adjustments, and appliance placements
• Take dental radiographs and intraoral scans with precision and care
• Fit and adjust orthodontic appliances, wires, and retainers under the orthodontist's direction
• Educate patients and families on oral hygiene, appliance care, and treatment expectations
• Maintain accurate patient records and help manage appointment scheduling or follow-ups
• Keep inventory stocked and equipment well maintained so the practice runs smoothly
• Uphold strict infection control and OSHA standards throughout the clinic

Qualifications

• Orthodontic certification is required for this role
• Dental Assistant certification or completion of an accredited dental assisting program preferred
• Previous chairside experience in an orthodontic or dental office is a plus
• Current CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain
• Excellent communication skills and a compassionate chairside manner
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical setting
