Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional bedside care to adult and older adult patients on a 32-bed surgical ACE unit
• Manage a 1:5 patient ratio with confidence, focusing on quality over chaos
• Administer acute medications as ordered, including heparin drips, with precision and care
• Monitor and support trauma patients through their recovery journey
• Document assessments and interventions accurately in EPIC EMR
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to build safe, effective care plans
• Use specialty equipment such as gait belts, geriatric chairs and PT equipment to keep patients mobile and safe
• Educate patients and families so they feel informed and empowered

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Georgia or a compact license that lets you practice here
• Current BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification
• Documented Med/Tele experience with a completed skills checklist
• EPIC EMR experience, because charting should feel familiar from day one
• Comfort caring for trauma patients and managing heparin drips
• Availability for the required holiday coverage rotation
• A badge-appropriate photo and complete demographic information for credentialing
• Please note: no requested time off during this assignment

Knowledge & Skills

• Heparin drip management and monitoring
• Acute medication administration
• Trauma patient care and rapid assessment
• Med/Tele clinical expertise
• EPIC EMR charting proficiency
• Skilled Nursing and Rehab experience is a welcome plus
• Prior NICHE training is a bonus
• Geriatric mobility and safety techniques using gait belts and geriatric chairs
• Strong communication and patient education skills
