Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments for orthodontic procedures
• Assist orthodontists with braces, adjustments, and appliance placements
• Take dental radiographs and intraoral scans as needed
• Guide patients through oral hygiene and orthodontic care instructions
• Maintain accurate patient records and treatment notes
• Create a calm, welcoming experience for every patient
• Support the clinical team with chairside tasks and supply readiness
• Help educate patients and families on treatment plans and aftercare

Qualifications

• Orthodontic certification is required
• Dental assisting experience, preferably in orthodontics, is a plus
• Active Maryland Dental Assistant credentials as required by the clinic
• Strong communication skills and a patient-first mindset
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced orthodontic practice
• Team player who is dependable, detail-oriented, and eager to learn
• Commitment to providing excellent chairside support
