Shift Type: Monday-Friday, Evening shift (exact start time not specified, typical evening hours), with one weekend per 4-week schedule

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 - $42 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Perform decontamination, assembly, and sterilization of surgical instruments and equipment
Manage case carts and ensure accurate and timely delivery of instrument trays
Maintain a sterile field and adhere to infection control protocols
Work independently with minimal orientation in a fast-paced trauma center environment
Collaborate with surgical teams to meet the needs of the operating room
Ensure quality assurance through proper documentation and inspection of instruments

Qualifications

Current CBSPB or HSPA (formerly IAHCSMM) certification required
Minimum 2 years of sterile processing experience
Previous experience in a trauma center setting preferred
Active California state license or eligibility
Willingness to work overtime and occasional weekends
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently

Knowledge & Skills

Decontamination, assembly, sterilization, and case cart management
Knowledge of infection control and sterile processing standards
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and workload
Strong communication and teamwork skills
