Candidate Pay Rate: $67 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive care to mothers and newborns during labor, delivery, and postpartum
Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal vital signs, interpreting data to ensure safety
Assist with cesarean sections, vacuum-assisted deliveries, and emergency procedures
Administer medications, IV fluids, and pain management as ordered
Educate patients and families on birthing plans, breastfeeding, and newborn care
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure positive outcomes

Qualifications

Current RN license in Connecticut or compact state
BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN/Fetal Heart Monitoring certifications
Minimum 1 year of recent Labor and Delivery experience
Ability to handle high-stress situations with compassion and skill

Knowledge & Skills

Expert fetal monitoring interpretation
Strong labor support and pain management techniques
Emergency response and resuscitation skills
Effective communication with patients and team members
