Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide continuous airway management and high-quality respiratory care across adult, pediatric, and neonatal populations
• Manage invasive and non-invasive ventilators, including PB980, PB840 and V60 models, to optimize patient respiratory function
• Perform transport ventilation using ParaPac and support safe patient moves within the facility
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to assess patients, adjust care plans, and deliver timely interventions
• Respond to emergencies and perform CPR while applying ACLS, PALS, and BLS protocols as needed
• Document care accurately using computerized charting systems and manage medications via Pyxis
• Educate patients and families on respiratory therapies and provide compassionate bedside care

Qualifications

• State of Hawaii Respiratory Therapy License required by start of assignment
• Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience caring for adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients
• BLS, PALS and ACLS required prior to start
• RRT preferred
• NRP preferred
• Proof of flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exception required before contract start
• No first travel assignments accepted

Knowledge & Skills

• Ventilator management (PB980, PB840) and non-invasive ventilation (V60)
• Airway management and transport ventilation (ParaPac)
• Strong proficiency with computerized charting and Pyxis medication systems
• Skilled in CPR and advanced life support protocols (ACLS, PALS, BLS)
• Comfortable supporting adult, pediatric and neonatal patient populations
• Clear communication and collaboration with physicians and care teams
