Roles & Responsibilities

• Manage ventilator settings and provide expert ventilator care for critically ill patients
• Perform arterial blood gas draws and interpret ABG results to guide therapy
• Assist with intubations and support airway management during procedures
• Administer nebulizer, Metaneb, IPPB, and CPT treatments to improve patient respiratory status
• Document assessments and treatments accurately in Meditech
• Collaborate with ICU, NICU, and ED teams to deliver coordinated, patient-centered care
• Provide compassionate care across all age ranges while maintaining strong customer service

Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) required
• BLS certification required
• Experience in ICU, NICU, or ED settings (listed as must-have experience)
• Ability to draw and interpret ABGs
• Minimum of 2 years of hospital respiratory experience (special skills/experience required)
• Comfortable assisting with intubation and advanced airway management

Knowledge & Skills

• Ventilator management and hands-on experience with ventilators
• ABG sampling and interpretation
• Experience with Servo I ventilator (preferred)
• Familiarity with I-Stat point-of-care testing (preferred)
• Proficiency using Meditech documentation system
• Therapies: Metaneb, IPPB, nebulizer treatments, and CPT
• Strong patient communication and customer service skills across age ranges
