Registered Respiratory Therapist - NICU
Location: Austin, Texas
Start Date: 08-24-2026
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, rotating days and weekends
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $49 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide expert respiratory care to critically ill neonates in the NICU
- Administer nebulizer treatments and oxygen therapy with precision and compassion
- Manage ventilators and monitor patient responses to ensure optimal outcomes
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and adjust care plans
- Document patient progress accurately and communicate effectively with families
- Educate families on respiratory care techniques and home management when appropriate
Qualifications
- Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) licensure
- Current BLS, NRP, PALS, and ACLS certifications
- Minimum 1 year of respiratory therapy experience
- NICU, ICU, or PICU experience preferred
- Ability to adapt quickly to new environments and work as part of a team
