Roles & Responsibilities

• Monitor cardiac telemetry and step-down patients, interpreting rhythms and responding quickly to changes
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments while maintaining patient safety
• Collaborate with physicians and the care team to develop and adjust individualized care plans
• Document patient status accurately and escalate concerns during rapid response situations
• Float to assigned units as needed to ensure every patient receives expert, compassionate care
• Provide education and emotional support to patients and families facing acute cardiac events

Qualifications

• Active RN license in California or willingness to obtain one before starting
• Minimum 1-2 years of recent telemetry or DOU experience preferred
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association
• Comfortable floating to various units and adapting quickly to new environments
• Passion for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong cardiac rhythm interpretation and telemetry monitoring skills
• Solid knowledge of cardiac medications, drips, and step-down protocols
• Excellent critical thinking and clinical judgment under pressure
• Proficient with electronic charting and precise documentation
• Clear communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
