Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver skilled, compassionate care to stepdown and critically ill patients
• Monitor vitals, telemetry, and changing conditions with a sharp clinical eye
• Administer medications, drips, and treatments per physician orders
• Collaborate closely with physicians, respiratory therapists, and fellow nurses
• Document assessments and interventions accurately in the EHR
• Educate patients and families on what to expect on the road to recovery
• Respond quickly and calmly to changes in patient status

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kansas
• Stepdown, progressive care, or critical care experience preferred
• Current BLS certification, ACLS a big plus
• DCI/BVP certification required
• Completion of Prime Core Competencies, Skills Checklist, and Specialty Exam
• Current health documentation including immunizations and screenings
• A team-player attitude and a genuine love for patient care

• IV drips, titration, and medication administration
• Rapid assessment and clinical decision-making
• Strong communication with patients, families, and the care team
