Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, family-centered nursing care in an outpatient pediatric clinic
• Administer pediatric vaccines and maintain accurate immunization records
• Perform CLIA waived testing and phlebotomy/blood draws with care and accuracy
• Educate families on vaccines, testing, and pediatric care in clear, culturally sensitive language
• Document patient encounters and clinical care thoroughly in the electronic health record
• Collaborate with providers, medical assistants, and clinic staff to ensure smooth patient flow
• Support infection control practices and safe vaccine handling
• Help triage and prioritize patient needs during busy clinic periods

Qualifications

• Active RN license to practice in Colorado (required)
• BLS through the American Heart Association (required)
• 5+ years of pediatric clinic / ambulatory pediatric experience (required)
• Bilingual in English and Spanish (required) — strong communication with families is essential
• Hands-on experience with CLIA waived testing, pediatric vaccine administration, and blood draws
• Comfort working in a fast-paced outpatient setting and covering occasional Saturday mornings

Education

• Active RN licensure in Colorado required
• Degree not specified in posting; nursing education (ADN/BSN) typically expected for the role

• Ambulatory and outpatient pediatric nursing workflows
• CLIA waived testing procedures and quality control basics
• Vaccine administration, storage, and documentation practices
